I was at the beginning of "my drawing career" I was so excited that I accepted it right away
I made it,though I don't know if that guy tattooed it ...

I would almost have to disagree and agree. First, you're right about commissions but about designing tattoos... I personally don't really design tattoos for anyone other than myself (mostly because I suck and illustration)but I don't feel that it is as big of a responsibility as you're making it. Often times the person just needs the concept and the general style (which is probly what they are after) because the tattoo artist will change it to fit the skin. I'm not trying to put down your opinions, I'm trying to make you see that it is a flattering thing, and your work is beautiful. Anyway I think I've perceived myself incorrectly, but I'm in the middle of finals and I've been lacking on sleep lately.

Your designs are really beautiful, and a tattoo artist could do a lot with them, if they have the skill. I've been tattooing for three years, and, although artists can do things now that are just mindblowingly unbelievable, the way you draw just doesn't transfer well as a tattoo design. You DO have a great grasp of composition and color, but the human body is not flat. There is a ton of fabulous artwork out there that just does not work when it's put on the body. The curves and contours of the muscles can change (and sometimes ruin) a good image. Knowing what I do now about anatomy and flow of the body has completely changed how I draw for a tattoo.
(And believe me, it's scary seeing your own art on someone forever. I tattooed on my husband less than a year into my career, and, as much as I like the idea, the execution of the art just makes me want to smack myself. I would have completely changed my approach if I did it now.)

So I guess after all that, you're probably right not to mess with it. If someone loves the style of art you do that much, they should take a reference to a reputable artist and have them design a custom piece based off of it. Just my two cents.

i doubt my illustrations/drawing style would fit to be a tattoo. the flow of a tattoo has to be completely different to what it can be on paper.
i have seen some pictures that were turned into tattoos and it looked not good at all. =w='''

and yes. it is scary. i'm not sure if i would want that... at least not with my current illustrations. *laugh*

yes. that is what i think too. let the professionals handle that matter. after all they know what they do. xD;;;
